Introduction


Thanks for joining me in a very important conversation about Business Planning. The most successful business people and companies go through a deliberate and engaging planning process annually. When I worked corporately we always had ‘planning season’. Sometimes it was as much as 3 months in advance of the new business year ahead!

The idea was to be proactive. This allowed us to anticipate our ever changing market place, and slow down and look at the year passed with new eyes. We wanted insights, ideas and new thinking about our business. The goal was to be more agile and strategic and learn from everything that had worked and didn’t work the previous year. This was considered a best practice and a must do, not a nice to do! It could be painstaking at times, but the exercise was always invaluable. Of course we only got out of it what we put into it. That principle always holds true doesn’t it?!
