June 11, 2024
Listen Now
Designing for the future takes a multi layered approach that includes not just sustainability, but also circular and regenerative design principles. At every stage of the project, it’s worthwhile to consider how you can honor the planet and stay in alignment with your own values.
In this episode we learn:
- choose products that give back to the earth, made of recycled or biodegradable materials
- choose textiles that are certified organic
- choose deconstruction instead of demolition
- use multiple bins on site to sort into donate, sell, or landfill
- repaint, refinish, repurpose, redesign
DESIGN INTERVENTION
Align your business with your values. Listen to your body and how it is reacting to your day-to-day experience. If you aren’t sleeping, for instance, you might not be working in alignment with your values.
