Listen Now

What makes the relationship between interior designers and architects successful?

In this episode, Kimberley Seldon is joined by Ramona Albert to discuss how interior designers and architects can collaborate more effectively to create stronger projects and better client experiences.

While architects and designers bring different expertise to a project, misunderstandings around roles, leadership, and communication can sometimes create tension. Ramona explains why the best results happen when every professional understands their value, respects the contributions of others, and works together from the very beginning.

In this episode, we learn:
• Why the strongest projects involve a full collaborative team from day one
• How developers often overlook the importance of interior design expertise
• Why interior designers contribute far more than furniture selection
• How large egos can interfere with successful project collaboration
• Why clearly defining project leadership helps avoid confusion and conflict
• How better communication strengthens relationships between architects and designers
• Why collaborative project management improves outcomes for clients and project teams
• How mutual respect and clarity create more successful design and construction projects
