About Catalina Yturralde

Born in Colombia and raised in Venezuela. While working in private banking in 1998 I came to the United States to learn English and met my husband, and my life changed for the better. For the past 22 years I have had the opportunity to live in many cities across the US: Chicago, New York City, Miami, Boston, Greenwich, CT and Houston.

My passion for art and design began early on.  I grew up going to my mother’s office in Caracas every afternoon after school.  I was fascinated by the drawings, markers and prototypes.

While living in Miami I decided to follow my passion and attend the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale for my Interior Design Associate degree.

During my time living in Greenwich, CT, I had the opportunity to work with local and NYC clients.  Three years before moving to Texas, I got my Real Estate license and integrated both interior design and real estate services.

In 2015 we moved to Houston, TX and I found myself starting all over again. I wanted to build my network and learn about the local marketplace.  During the period from 2015-2018 I partnered with Madeval (kitchen and bathroom cabinetry manufacturer) and worked for RH and Design House Texas.

In 2019 I established CYInterior and Kassa Redevelopment with my husband and partner that focuses on enhancing our local communities.
