About Dane Austin

Dane Austin is the principal of Dane Austin Design, a luxury residential Interior Design firm founded in 2009. Based in Boston and Washington, D.C., Dane leads his team in the design of Back Bay brownstones, Georgetown residences, luxury high rises, and other prominent homes around the country. He is known for confidently pushing classic design to a bold edge in a style that combines daring color combinations and unexpected pairings.

A graduate of the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design at George Washington University, Dane also studied the history of decorative arts at Sotheby’s Institute of Art, London, and the Institut d’Etudes Supérieures des Arts, in Paris.

Dane was most recently honored with the 5 Under 40 Award in a career of numerous accolades, celebrating New England’s most exceptional emerging design talent. He was also invited to be a member of the Leaders of Design Council, an exclusive membership body of the top architects and designers in the U.S. His projects and insights have been featured in Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, House Beautiful, The Washington Post, and Boston Globe, to name a few. Dane is currently finishing the renovation and decoration of his own home, a 1905 Gambrel Shingle Style home in Boston.
