Every dreamed of doing a show house or charity home for auction? All that media attention and good feelies? Yes, it can be a rewarding and satisfying experience. But it’s also hard work.
When you decide to give your time, remember to treat it like a marketing expense. Log your hours so you can determine what the value of your donation is and then measure that against returns—tangible (new clients) and intangible (feeling good about your contribution).
